Theres an event on friday night at local drag strip (cecil county drag way) called "Street and Grudge Racing & Tri State Street Cars". And my question is would the strip be prepped or not. I have a 2019 Scatpack that i want to run just for fun but im not gonna buy a set of radials or slicks just to do 1 or 2 passes. To me it sounds like the track wont be prepped and i could run on street tires. If you know better than I please let me know.

Shouldn't you contact the local drag strip or the person in charge of the event?
They would know and would be able to give you a answer pretty quick I'd assume.

Street and grudge racing is usually on a non-prep surface. I know some tracks around here is that if its a street race event then it must have a dot rated tire.
