Are you comfortable buying used? That would really help.
Also, what games will you be playing at 4k? That's a tight budget if you're planning on playing AAA titles. This is the minimum kind of specs I'd be looking at; PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 3.1 GHz Quad-Core Processor (£49.85 @ CCL Computers) Motherboard: ASRock B450M Pro4-F Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (£65.39 @ Amazon UK) Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory (£73.19 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Crucial BX500 480 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£48.93 @ Amazon UK) Case: Deepcool MATREXX 30 MicroATX Mini Tower Case (£30.46 @ Scan.co.uk) Power Supply: Corsair CXM (2015) 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (£52.99 @ AWD-IT) Total: £320.81 If you buy used parts, you'd be able to get something similar for ~£250 easily. That should leave you £80-150 for a GPU. If you're lucky, you'll find a GTX 1070 for 150 quid but more likely, a 980Ti. For £80, you're looking at an RX 470/570. If you're buying new, RX 570 is the lowest end GPU worth buying, and those are about £120 new. |
