When I'm gaming, say... I want to send a screenshot to a friend, Alt + Tab to desktop used to be the go-to, as I could then open Discord and drag and drop. Or say I want to check my meters for temps and such, Alt + Tab used to be able to go right to Desktop without closing out my meters like Windows Key + D does. I know Windows Key + D goes to desktop, but it literally closes everything out also, either minimizing it, or going to system tray, which is what I'm trying to avoid.
People found a way to get the Windows 7 Start Menu in Windows 10, I actively use it ever since I bought a copy, it works perfectly, so being able to create an entire customizable shell for something like that takes some work, so I have to believe someone, somewhere, has run into my issue, and either has made something similar to restore this functionality, or has a small tweak that can do similar, so if anyone knows of such a thing, could you tell me? I've tried all the work arounds, I've even tried to get used to Windows Key + D, but it just doesn't work for me. All I want to do is be able to hit Alt + Tab, and have Desktop be one of the options, I'd also like Microsoft to listen to the people they create things for, as it actually took effort on their part to remove this functionality, rather than leave it alone, and that's literally time wasted, removing a functionality people love, I have no clue why they do the things they do, but the wonderful people in the Windows community always surprise me, so I'm hoping such a thing to restore this exists. Thank you for reading |
