Im a huge fan of metal music. It gets labeled as "satanic" "Its just noise" "Takes no talent" "Metal is dead" alot of times us metalheads get looked at like we are some kind of bad community. Its hard to take things like that. I dont think we are bad people. We are somehow automatically "Emo" based on the way we dress. Im a christian. I dont judge religon. We have our beliefs. I also dont judge music just because of its stereotypes. Often us metalheads get death threats and oh your a depressed ******. I just dont get it. Its 2019 you would assume nobody cares about what you listen to or what you like... but they do. If your a fan of any other music genre please leave your opinion below if you have the same issues with these kinds of people. |

I listen to hip-hop and rap which is pretty accessible nowadays to most people. I do not enjoy metal music, but I can see why it caters to certain audiences. Music is subjective, it sounds like your community is very close-minded. |

I personally listen to a wide variety of music. I enjoy some metal songs and wouldn't consider them satanic unless they are directly referencing worshiping the devil.
It turns most people away because all they hear is loud sounds and screaming, if you were never introduced to it, and only ever listened to alternative music or like say the blues you might feel the same way about it. |
