RROD was only a issue during release of the 360 (2005) until 2006 when they figured out what was causing rrod. RROD issues mainly hit xenon and zephyr motherboards. After the xenon and zephyr came the falcon which was designed to not RROD.

Even sometimes you can get lucky with xenon and zephyrs although i do not recommend them

Yes you can still get a kv ban and would need to buy a new one, it can all come down to your stealth server and what kv life they can support I recommend ninja its a bit on the dearer side but I've never had a kv ban using ninja! But streamah and teapot tommy offer stealth severs here on ttg you should check there posts and pick whatever stealth suits you!
