C137Mods wrote Try to explain to him why you want it and tell him he has nothing to worry about because your paying for it and going to a learning course but it's his house his rules then again your 18 you can do whatever you want with your money that you earned maybe don't keep it at the house? Maybe park it down the street? Either way I think once you get it he will be mad for a little but will get over I don't think you getting a motorcycle is gonna the end of the world for him.

thats how he is with a bunch of things hes mad for a little then he slowly gets ok with it. he tells me he wants me out and to experience things but i told him how can i go out and live life when i have your watchful eye over me 24/7

My dad is the same way he gets mad but gets ok with it soon after but remind him your 18 you can legally make your own decision/life choices so he doesn't need to keep a eye on you 24/7 tell him your responsible and can take care of yourself and want some space/time for yourself to make your own decisions and if you mess up somehow it's ok because that happens in life just get back up and continuing going.

wow great advice thank you
