A lot of pc players would hate cross platform for the most part. Have you been on twitter the past 2-3 weeks of constant complaining from Fortnite, Halo reach and Apex communities about controllers?
Top streamers like shroud, XQC, Summit1g and even a couple of high ranked apex players are really hating on the controller player scene. "its overpowered from range, you have aim assist so i can't win any fights against a controller in a spray fight" Which is true to an extent. But M&K can move while looting, delete people from range with most guns and have better movement. A lot of teams are recruiting high skilled controller players because they deem them "crucial" to a good team. So who knows, It would help the game a little but not as much as you'd think, i can see the angry reddit posts about letting controller players play with pc players. But i can agree with cross progression, that's one of the few reasons i haven't made the move. |

Anhur, you are right there would be an uproar from PC players regarding controller players playing in tournaments, but that is going to happen when PC exclusive tournaments are made without anything for the console community. If I was a pro, I would definitely switch for a shot at that prize money.
Additionally, a lot of console players don't actually want to play with PC players, so it will be interesting to see what Respawn will do if they decide to implement Crossplay! Yop, Cross-Progression would be absolutely fantastic, but it is a gold mine for EA, so I doubt we will see that coming. | Lets keep in mind about the PC cheaters. There are countless of great games dead on PC that are still very much alive on console. This will just destroy Apex Legends. Of course, I assume there will be an option to disable cross-play. |

That is a very valid point! The cheaters on PC are RIFE! It would completely destroy the consolse scene as you quite rightly said!
