Hey,

I haven't built a computer in quite a few years, but I feel like its time I should get back to gaming like I'd like to ha. I was hoping to get some input on the build I'm thinking about. Any comments appreciated!

Edit:
--What is your budget and currency? US $2000 or below
--What will you use the PC for? Gaming & general use
--Do you need a monitor? If not, what monitor(s) will you be using? Currently using an old samsung 21" widescreen
--Do you need a keyboard, mouse, or other peripherals? Going to wait on upgrading these items.
--Do you need an operating system? Using an already purchased Windows 10
--Will you overclock? Doubtful
--Anything else we should know? Looking to have a computer that will last me a decent amount of time capable of upgrades

Are you really planning to put a disc drive in the PC? if not I would switch the case out to one without it the as that will open up more intake on the front.

I have the Phanteks Eclipse P400 ATX Mid Tower Case to give you an idea of how it would look as my case is like yours other than your going for a full size.

just going to break this down a little bit.

They keyboard (membrane.........) and mouse seem a bit randomly chosen. The speakers are alright, but not really advised IMO especially if you're playing anything competitive a good headset/over-ear set of headphones.

slower ram with Ryzen? The thought was there not the execution. The monitor is a bit overpriced for what it is in reality. The motherboard isn't all bananas either. The enthoo at one point was a great case but airflow is a pain in the ass in older phanteks series. The added corsair fans were not needed either.

GPU was alright but still missing marks IMO.

edit: just noticed you added in the topic pieces.

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor ($178.89 @ B&H)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 50.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($89.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus Prime X470-Pro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($132.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Aegis 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($120.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Intel 660p Series 2.048 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($209.99 @ B&H)
Storage: Western Digital Blue 3 TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive ($73.98 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Zotac GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8 GB GAMING AMP Video Card ($710.00 @ Amazon)
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case ($96.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($112.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $1726.70

You can save some by dropping the SSD down to a 1tb model, less HDD storage. The case is for a smaller form factor but nonetheless one of my absolute favorite cases to work in. Plenty of room for upgrading though i am sure most of us can agree that waiting to see what AMD has in store for the next generation whether that be a new socket or still sticking on AM4 will be useful. This is just an idea basin.

As far as keyboards go if you want to get something of relatively great quality without outright breaking the bank check out redragon and their mechanical lineup. I've owned every one of their mechs and can vouch for the premium like feel. They also have a good selection of mice, the sensors are shit but if you aren't strictly gaming you'll be fine.

Looking a lot better than the previous i9 systems, that's for sure. Still a few changes I'd make.

Mitochondria wrote The speakers are alright
I wouldn't even say they're alright tbh. I wouldn't let anyone I knew buy them- I owned a set of Z506's and I literally just threw them in the bin they were that bad. The Z506 is meant to be a higher-end set than the Z323's too.

Mitochondria wrote The enthoo at one point was a great case but airflow is a pain in the ass in older phanteks series

Airflow in the Enthoo Pro should be absolutely fine. Definitely was a great case, I loved them and recommended them in every semi high end system- but yeah that was about 5 years ago now lol, definitely wouldn't be going with one of those today, just too dated. Issa big boi too.
Meshify is a good shout, if only it hadn't increased from it's original $70/75 price tag I'd usually recommend a Phanteks P400A or Cooler Master NR600 over the Meshify these days, but the P400A and NR600 look to be creeping up in price a little also.

OP, for around 2 grand, I'd be looking at something like this;
PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor ($324.98 @ Walmart)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 50.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($89.90 @ B&H)
Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard ($164.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Flare X 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($127.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sabrent Rocket Q 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($109.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB XC ULTRA GAMING Video Card ($519.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master MasterBox NR600 (w/o ODD) ATX Mid Tower Case ($69.98 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Cooler Master MWE Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($78.36 @ B&H)
Monitor: VIOTEK GN27D 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor ($249.99 @ Amazon)
Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB PLATINUM Wired Gaming Keyboard ($129.99 @ Best Buy)
Mouse: Logitech G603 Wireless Optical Mouse ($56.99 @ Amazon)
Speakers: Behringer MS16 16 W 2.0 Channel Speakers ($79.99 @ Walmart)
Total: $2003.14

I wouldn't want to pay the premium for a 2080 Super over a 2070 Super to be honest, but if you wanna spend the $200 extra, go for it.
Add another 1TB NVMe SSD, same as is in the list, if you want to. You can also add any capacity HDD you want/need. If you fancy a flashier motherboard, swap the X570 TUF for something like an X470 Strix(X570 Strix is a bit over-priced).
