This virus for sure effects older people, especially the ones who have/had issues with their lungs and or obesity.

Kids can even spread this virus without being sick. :/

What am I supposed to do about it? Go and develop the vaccine in my spare time? All I can do is try and have discussions and learn as much as I can. Clearly people on TTG are interested in the same thing, and we are talking about it on a topic you don't have to view or take part in. I'm seriously not sure why you're so torn up about all of this.

As for the flu comment, please look into any information concerning the virus and you will learn it is much different and worse than the flu. The flu comparison was convenient during the early stages of the virus since most people know the flu and it was a good reference. Now with more data, any comparisons to the flu are pointless. This virus has 3-6% mortality rate which is 3 to 6 times greater than influenza. This is far more worrisome than the flu.

I wouldn't worry too much about hand sanitizer. Is it nice to have, sure, but using it too often does more harm than good and it doesn't actually get rid of anything like people think. Proper antibacterial soap has 2 properties in it that combat the proteins of a virus, one to puncture through its "shell" the other that allows the inner mucus of the virus/cell to stick to the residue from the soap with a little bit of water, that way when you wash, it clings to the bubbles and goes down. Hand sanitizer is good for a quick use, but washing hands and antibacterial soap is something I think people should be more concerned about.

Trump just did his speech he looked very sick apart from that banning direct flights back and forward to the EU won't work unless you ban the UK too. People from the EU will just drive to the UK or fly in to travel to the U.S. or fly to any other county as a proxy.
