US has surpassed at least 10,000 coronavirus cases. At least due to the fact not everyone is being tested.

Matthew- wrote Who thinks the UK will go into full lockdown by next Friday? I agree, sometime next week I believe we will see a big increase in cases. My county in South Wales, has had a steady incline over the past few days. |

What are your thoughts on the announcements just made in today's press conference? (UK)
The financial package for workers and businesses is better than I expected, also I think its about time they are closing Bars, Restaurants, Shops (non-essential) etc etc... |

State is closing all business that aren't essential services, fortunately I work at an auto parts store which IS essential apparently, haha. Don't have to lock myself in my house quite yet!
Things getting weird here in the U.S. Fed clearly doesn't want complete shutdown, but states doing it on a state by state basis is going to probably force their hand. Which is going to be brutal for the people that don't have the financial wherewithal to withstand this. The stimulus package is great but these people are out of money like now or in the next couple days, not in a week or three weeks whenever this check is supposed to come. I don't panic, and I believe the American population has been raised on fear (at least the last two generations) essentially so all this does is make people panic and I think that's the scary part. Everyone got so distracted and dissociated from society and each other, expecting everything to continue day by day, being able to buy your groceries or order your stuff off Amazon. It hurts to see, a nation as developed and rich with talent and smart people as we are, completely fumble this due to a terrible administration and a blinded populous that didn't want to believe bad things could happen to us. The cases has gone from 89 to 16,000+ in two weeks and that really, honestly could have been prevented had people just taken ONE step or precaution to make sure they weren't spreading it to others. I don't know where we go from here, I just hope this country knocks itself out of delusion after this stupid pandemic. |
