Hi there,

I'm looking to see if anyone could help with a 1000GBP build for a friend of mine?

He will be playing mostly Cities Skylines, Escape from Tarkov, Call of Duty etc.

Location: UK
Budget: £1000
Monitor/Peripherals : Being bought separate.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Dean

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£168.30 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard (£94.95 @ AWD-IT)
Memory: Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory (£131.10 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Sabrent Rocket Q 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£99.99 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB WINDFORCE 2X Video Card (£364.98 @ Amazon UK)
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower Case (£64.99 @ AWD-IT)
Power Supply: Corsair TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (£64.31 @ More Computers)
Total: £988.62

Can swap the RTX 2070 for an RX 5700XT if you like. 5700XT will perform a little better but there are still some Navi driver headaches AFAIK, and the RTX 2070 has RTX support(obviously), unlike the 5700XT. Either a 2070 or 5700XT is a pretty solid option IMO, though of course, that's assuming the system is not being used with a 1080p60Hz monitor. I'd expect this to be paired with at least a decent 1080p144Hz panel, or honestly even a 1440p144Hz monitor.

Can drop to 16GB RAM instead of 32GB if you want more SSD storage, and/or to add an HDD for mass storage.
