Hey i'm on 4.81 rebug cfw i'm on dex and I try to sign up for psn or sign in and I get error 80710a06 and I haven't found a solution yet can any help I just bought this cfw ps3 today.

You will need to update to 4.82 DEX, this will fix the issue you have with signing in.

I found 4.82 ferox. Do I have to switch back to cex and do I have to do anything special or can I just update.

There is only two options you have DEX or CEX, do not mix them. To make sure you know what you have go into rebug toolbox. Simply go to system information and it will say it.
EXAMPLE:

So ONLY USE DEX UPDATES if your console is DEX.
