This is my first attempt at something of this kind. So please don't be so harsh xD

I done everything on adobe draw, everything is literally by eye:3

I think after the first original design (the one furthest on the left) I got kinda lazy, there'll obviously be an issue. However overall im very happy with the feedback so far! Thank you guys!

As for practicality I see swipe features (left & right) it would make it exactly the same as the current Safari version. I may have forgot to add the sign in options etc hahaha, but as far as simplicity goes, it's decent ;)

Okay it looks alright but it looks very similar to our current mobile site, however I like the icons at the top a lot.

Decent enough

It does have a similar feel to the current mobile site, however it does look really nice. What program did you design this on if you don't mind me asking?

Also just a quick thing,

In my opinion I feel that the third and fourth phone mockups feels really cluttered and almost looks like a desktop website on a phone, scaling everything up and having the user scroll down allows for a more mobile feel.

I can agree with that. I am not sure how exactly you can make the mobile site much different besides having a designated app.

criticism time ay

instant red flags
  • the use of a drop navbar
    • admittedly i could forgive this but navigation on the bottom makes like so much easier. Sure it might take some time to adapt to but in the long run it's easier than a dropper.
      • important things down here only, not full navigation. see bullet below.

    • make use of swiping abilities.
      • swipe from the left of the screen for the forums/dropdown

  • top placed navigation (only practical for some things)
    • sure a hotlink here makes sense. but generally login/out should be in the swipe/settings menu. things like the shoutbox and other various features that would be popular can be up there/on a bottom bar

  • use of inline navigation on a touch enabled applet.
    • i know this comes as a "wtf is he talking about" but trust me it makes more sense to use swiping gestures to move/scroll through tabs.

final thought
  • the design is good and flows well with what he have. it just needs to meet some UX standards. I enjoyed the small changes, profile, quick links, and logout all being easily accessible though one should be a little more hidden. In a settings menu at least. The little arrows for indication of where you are and blue accent lines/changed position of forum titles. Things of which would even make the desktop version of the site look better.
