So I've recently got a new PC with a 1TB HDD and its quickly running out of storage quite quickly, if I buy an SSD and store the OS onto that to give it the "extra" boost booting up and just keep general folders and games on the HDD, would this actually have any benefit or is it just worth buying another HDD for more storage instead

Definitely buy an SSD if you haven't already got one.

Is there any specific one you would recommend? Or are they all the same?

They're definitely not all the same, but I can't recommend one without a budget and currency to work with.

Ah okay my bed, the ones I've been having a glance at are around £100 so I'd go for around that

What is the make and model of your motherboard?

You'll get a 1TB NVMe SSD for £100-110, so I'd aim for those if your motherboard has any unused m.2 slots.
Alternatively, a 960GB/1TB Crucial BX500 should be £90-95, that's a solid choice for a SATA SSD.

Let me know what mobo you have, and I can leave you some actual links once I know for sure they'll be compatible with your system.

Sweet, nice motherboard. The B450M Steel Legend has 2 x m.2 slots, so yeah I'd recommend aiming for a nice 1TB NVMe SSD if possible.

This is a really solid buy if you can manage £110;
amazon.co.uk/Sabrent-M-2-NVME-SSD...amp;sr=8-1

If you really want it closer to 100 quid, then this would do;
cclonline.com/product/264047/CT10...AqxrjbQhug
but that'll probably be around £105 after delivery anyway, and the Sabrent Rocket Q is without a doubt worth the extra fiver.
