Hi All
I am trying to factory reset my old PC which runs windows 7. The computer is about 8 years old so i have never backed it up and i don't have any discs for windows etc. I have backed up everything i need to on a USB, so i just need to wipe the computer now. But when i try and factory reset this it is saying I need to insert the windows activation disc. Could anyone offer me any support in doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Said |

Just go to recovery settings in control panel and factory reset from there. If not get a usb with a fresh copy of windows on there and start your computer in the bios. |

If your PC does not have the inbuilt recovery booting into recovery tools. Use the MS tool to get a new Win7 ISO.
microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows7 Make sure you install all the drivers after this is done. I would strongly advise downloading the Wireless/ Network card driver before you reset incase this does not get found as part of the ISO install and you can't get online to download other drivers. |
