This thread was put together for you to post your journey, and show off your progress pictures. No matter how big or small the change - progress is progress!

Everyone is on a journey of their own when it comes to fitness, with each person having their own goal to achieve. Some of you may be aiming to lose body fat, gain muscle, gain body fat, become healthier, become more body confident.

**Disclaimer - I am not a personal trainer / trained nutritionist. The below information is being passed on purely based on experience from myself. I am not stating this will work for everyone, I am merely stating this is how I started my journey and what I did to get to where I am today***.

My background
Since I was younger, I have always been in the overweight / obese range. Being that size, you don't realise how big you are. I always knew i was bigger than everyone else.. but it wasn't until I lost my weight I look back on pictures and realise how overweight I was.

It is not always the physical change that is hard to overcome.. it is the emotional and psychological side. Although I know i look alot better than I did 8 years ago.. I still sometimes look in the mirror and see the old me. Its a tough journey which I will forever be on until I reach my ultimate goal.

I have lost a total of 9 stone / 126lb since the start if my journey and accomplished this by a variety of the following:

Firstly, the most important part is to get up and try. I cant stress this enough. Finding the motivation is the easy part.. but getting up and actually making that change is the hardest hurdle of all. Having friends / family members support you on the journey will help you during your hardest moments. The times you want to quit.. when you want to give up.. you need that support there to keep going.

The biggest change I noticed was my diet. I didn't go drastic and begin cutting everything out and purely eat chicken, rice and veg. The first thing I did to my diet was cut out fizzy drinks, and started drinking flavoured water.. and slowly weened myself onto bottled water only. I lost 1 stone / 14 lb in 2 weeks just from cutting this out of my diet (and including light daily exercise). I joined a gym with a 6 month contract and I started going 2 days a week. I chose a contract which I was tied into to give me the motivation to go. I was young and the money I had earned I couldn't afford to waste.

As time went on, I began noticing my clothes have become baggier and I was wearing my XXXL T-Shirts like a bed sheet. I began weightlifting along side cardiovascular and soon I was gaining muscle mass and toning up.

I wont bore you with all the details, but am happy to answer anyone that has any questions in regarding my journey. I would love to see and hear about your journeys and what you are currently experiencing.

Here is me during my biggest moments of my life:
