I recently just purchased the Steel Series Arctis 1 after many recommendations however the mic echos and the people I'm speaking to can hear themselves, it's not an audio issue as it still happens when my mic is muted, any thoughts? Thanks for reading. |

Are you using Windows 10? I'd suggest first of all doing the built-in troubleshooting for sound - majority of the time that gives you help.
The volume for your microphone detection could be maxed out and need lowering down. |

It's because your mic isn't being registered as your mic. It's registering as your speakers..
For me to help better I'll need the following answered: 1. What headset are you using exactly? 2. Operating system you're using? 3. Do you have anything in terms of amps, pre-amps, mixers, DACs, etc? 4. Do you have the latest software for such devices listed above? 5. Do you have the headset's software/firmware installed/updated to it latest version? 6. What are your system sounds settings set for? 7. Is it actually fully plugged in along with any connected devices? |
