Is the ~$800 budget including a monitor? Or is the monitor budget separate? If separate, what is your budget for the monitor?
If $800 inc. monitor; PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (12nm) 3.2 GHz 6-Core Processor ($104.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($72.99 @ Best Buy) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory ($67.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Crucial P1 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($59.99 @ B&H) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB SC ULTRA GAMING Video Card ($229.99 @ Newegg) Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower Case ($80.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair CXM (2015) 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply ($69.99 @ Newegg) Monitor: LG 22MK430H-B 21.5" 1920x1080 75 Hz Monitor ($89.99 @ Amazon) Total: $776.91 Add any cheap $20-30 kb+mouse combo for now. Easy to upgrade those later. Stock and pricing is pretty poor right now, so you're paying $20 more for the PSU than it's worth, but there's nothing else available under $70 that's worth buying from what I can see. I also wouldn't typically go with that Gigabyte motherboard, but it's the only B450 mobo available for under $100. I'd usually go for an AsRock B450(M) Pro4(-F) if getting a sub $100 B450 motherboard. |

Baba wrote What would be the advantages in choosing the AsRock B450(M) Pro4(-F) or something similar? You're not necessarily going to notice any "advantages" per se, the AsRock motherboard is just a better mobo than the Gigabyte one. Baba wrote Oh and the monitor is fine, you put me at a good price range with it. If you added $50, you could grab a 1080p144Hz monitor instead, but you never clarified whether monitor budget was separate or not, so I just assumed $800 was max budget for everything. |

As for the motherboard I may go with the AsRock as i don't mind going paying a bit extra for a better product. But if having the monitor out of the price changes the room for better products then it would be great if you could assist with that and I could argue at myself if want to spend more money. |
