It looks like a great build, here's my suggestion:
pcpartpicker.com/list/rw4KrV Honestly, the Ryzen 7 3700x is all he'll need, unless he's going to be rendering stuff in Adobe After Effects, Blender, and Sony Vegas all at the same time. Anything more than this CPU, is overkill. I lowered it to save money, and make room for the fan additions. Same with the liquid cooler, he can save a few bucks by going with the one I listed. I changed the RAM because Corsair may be a more well known brand, but G.Skill works fantastic. This way he'll get faster ram for slightly more $$. Still has fancy RGB. My reasoning for the WD M.2 is the same as my other decisions, money saving haha. Samsung is a very good brand, don't get me wrong, but you will only notice a minuscule difference between that M.2 versus the WD one. For half the price too. I am changing the case, because this NZXT case looks better (in my opinion), is better for cable management, and has two RGB fans in the front. I included a corsair RGB fan to replace the fan in the back of the case though, it'll help with his request of RGB everywhere. My suggestion saves $300, but if that's not an issue, I wouldn't change a thing from the original list, except the RAM to 3600mhz, and the case. Hope I helped! |
