I'm not really surprised that it's $499 as when Xbox One first came out, it was $499 too. And I doubt they'll try to higher their standards in the "competition" they have with PlayStation.
In all honestly, it's a great price; affordable and includes everything you need for next-gen gaming. I just wish the design of the console would have made it in the "next-gen" category too though. Its a box without complexity on its surface. |

At first I was off put by it but in all honesty I I'd rather the clean, simple look instead of the direction playstation went with their design. It's simple and straight to the point and I think it compliments the direction Microsoft is going as far as integrating game pass with console and pc. Just my opinion of course. |
