CPU - i7-9700k
GPU EVGA Geforce GTX 1070 (Superclocked Edition) Mobo: ROG Srix z390-e gaming Ram: 32gb rgb corsair vengeance pro PSU EVGA 850 watt (BQ) Budget: 500-600 USD Goal: Pretty much a new GPU as I feel it's the most lacking in my pc right now. Looking for recommendations on a new GPU I've been thinking about waiting for the 3070 to come out or just sending it and getting a 3080. |

What monitor(s) are you using?
What do you use your system for exactly? What are you looking for improvements in? |

21 wrote What monitor(s) are you using? 2 144hz sceptre monitors. Not sure of exact but that's the best I got. Gaming, and editing, sometimes 3d modeling in cinema4d. Frames. |

Eli wrote 2 144hz sceptre monitors. Not sure of exact but that's the best I got. Yeah, as above, what resolution are your monitors? Would also be handy to know which games you're looking for better performance in. If it's 1440p144Hz you're running, then honestly even an RTX 3070 is going to suffice and $500-600 isn't going to get you a 3080. If you can comfortably stretch your budget though, and want to go for it, then an RTX 3080 would be a pretty ideal card for 1440p144Hz to be fair. If it's 1080p144Hz, then even an RTX 3070 is going to be pretty excessive IMO so I definitely wouldn't bother with an RTX 3080. If you're wanting to spend the $500 though, then an RTX 3070 when they launch at the end of this month should do you well. I would expect stock of 3070's to be better than 3080's at launch, and I'd also expect 3080 stock to start getting better around the 3070 launch but only time will tell. AMD are announcing Navi 2 GPU's on October 28th as well, so probably worth keeping an eye on that if you're waiting for a 3070 anyway. |
