BabyMacca wrote Cheers bro I could spend alot more than this? Add a 1440p144Hz monitor and £550ish GPU to the list I posted and you'll be between £1500-2000 after you pay off whatever parts you decide to finance. CPU/Mobo, GPU, and Monitor would be the main parts I'd finance. If you can still spend more than that, you don't really have to. If you want to though, then step the GPU up one tier(e.g. RTX 3070 to 3080), or maybe grab an R9 5900X instead of the R5 5600X. BabyMacca wrote I've been looking at firecuda ssd 520 If you want a PCIe 4.0 SSD, then you'll probably want to just get an X570 motherboard to be honest. A highend PCIe 3.0 SSD like the Sabrent Rocket I recommended should be more than adequate though. If you do go for PCIe 4.0, I'd probably look at the Sabrent or Gigabyte offerings instead of Seagate. BabyMacca wrote also does AMD work the same as intel with different chipsets ? or can you use any on any mobo? AMD doesn't exactly work the same as Intel with chipsets. Though you can't necessarily use "any on any mobo". If you're going Ryzen 5000, then you should really be looking at a B550 or X570 motherboard. Maybe B450 if you had a lower budget, but you don't. So in your case, Id stick with the Asus Strix B550 mobo, unless you want to spend a bit more and step up to an Asus Strix X570-F. If you went Intel, then you should only really be looking at a Z490 motherboard, but I'd honestly have to double check which Intel motherboards are worth buying and which aren't. |
