I'm not sure where to ask or even how to ask this question but here it goes. Lockdown is ending in 4 months in the U.K. (finally/possibly) so I'm trying to get a little bit healthier with also gaining some decent muscle.
I'm 6ft 6" - 26 years old and I've smoked for 12 years so, I can't go absolutely nuts with a routine. I'm quitting at the end of the week. I only weigh around 13.8-14 stone or between (190-195lbs) my ideal weight would be around 15.2. I've never been able to really put weight on so, there's some more advice I need. Hoping to start up putting some weight, as well as exercising properly. If anyone is down to coach me or give me advice I'd love you forever! Edit: I'm looking for a decent schedule or workouts (mainly without weights lmao) as well as some protein shakes.. |

The decision to quit smoking is a good one in order to get healthy.
The first step is to get onto a healthy diet and figure out how many calories you need to reach your goal. Use MyFitnessPal to help with that. As for workouts, you won't really put on much weight without using weights but exercises like pushups, pull-ups, squats, calf raises, abs etc don't need weights. You could buy elastic workout bands to give yourself a little resistance when workout out if weights aren't being used just yet. Biggest takeaway would be to eat healthy, drink plenty of water, and get some light workouts in for now. Protein shakes can wait until you start weights to be honest. You could also try creatine to help increase muscle mass when you start. Let me know if you have any other questions or confusions |
