After an awful hiatus in 2020, we're back with the 2021 edition of TTG's March Madness Bracket Challenge, also known as the "My dickhead coworker beat me by 20 points because he picked the coolest mascots"

Join here: fantasy.espn.com/tournament-chall...ID=3994699

The password is: ttg2021

You'll likely have to make an account as well to submit a bracket. Please name your bracket or account in some way that identifies you as your TTG username to be eligible for prizes.

Everyone is allowed one bracket entry, you can make any changes you want to your bracket leading up to the first round of games starting on Friday, 3/19. Once the first round of 64 game tips off the brackets will lock.

Prizes:

First place: Winner Badge + $20 , ultimate bragging rights over being the luckiest person here

Second Place: $10 + 10k rep

Third Place: + 10k rep

Also feel free to discuss matchups, games, players, and anything else related to the tournament in the thread. We'll be starting a support group that meets on Mondays for coffee for people who picked the wrong 12/5 seed upset.

Good luck!

Update, I made a mistake in the OP by saying that brackets lock on 3/18. They actually lock when the round of 64 tips off on 3/19, Friday (Tomorrow), not when the play-in games tip off.

feel free to bully me as well:

Baylor, Gonzaga, Illinois have been basically head and shoulders above everyone this year. Illinois has Ayo Dosunmu who, other than maybe Cunningham at Ok State, is the best player in college at the moment. They also have Kofi Cockburn who is the most dominant big man I've seen in years. He doesn't have the Zion or Obi Toppin hype but I've yet to see him get out-muscled for a ball all year. I have Gonzaga over Alabama in the final four, and Illinois over Baylor as well. Illinois over Gonzaga in the final.

Syracuse hasn't really looked all that impressive this year but they always seem to get it together in march? I pray? This is my just wing it guess.

Colgate's star guard is shooting 50% from 3 and 90% from the line this year and their team averages 40% as a whole from 3. They're horrible down low and have no impressive wins, but if they can get hot from 3 I think it's an upset over Arkansas waiting to happen. Doubt they can pull it off twice though.

((I'm really tempted to have St Bonnies moving into the elite 8, Michigan has looked simultaneously like the best and worst team in the country multiple times this year. I also think Michigan is the weakest of the #1, but St Bonnies has depth problems. Their star big man is a boards and scoring machine down low, but it seems like he's always in foul trouble, and I think if he ends up in trouble late in the game he'll end up getting bullied down low because they don't have the depth to comfortably let him sit without just completely giving up their front-court presence. I think they can take LSU but Michigan's back-court is something else. This of course means St Bonnies will probably make the final four https://www.thetechgame.com/images/chat/smiles/monkachrist.png ))

ggwp This is basically going to end my bracket's chance of winning the group with a nice shotgun blast to the face, unless Gonzaga, Villanova, and Houston all also fumble the bag.

Coming into the tourney I figured "Surely they aren't going to do it again?" so I probably deserve this, never bet against our lord and savior Sister Jean

Loyola confirmed the chosen team of God https://www.thetechgame.com/images/chat/smiles/feelscoolman.png

**Edit

Death, taxes, double digit seeded Syracuse making the sweet 16
