So it's that time of year where my favourite TV show begins, Love Island. Haven't watch it in a long while due to the virus and also I didn't watch the last show so I'm in for a real threat. Love Island 2021 start date: Everything you need to know as return date confirmed

ITV recently confirmed the hit reality show will officially begin on Monday, 28th June, before publishing the show's duty of care protocols for the 2021 series, which include comprehensive psychological support for the contestants from pre-filming through to aftercare.

We don't yet officially know which Love Island 2021 contestants will be entering the villa this year but the upcoming series is rumoured to be featuring its first disabled star.

ITV commissioner Amanda Stavri recently promised a diverse line-up in an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com, although she added that including gay Love Island contestants presented "a logistical difficulty."

There's not too long to wait until we hear the nostalgic sound of islanders yelling, 'I've got a text!' once again, but until then, here's everything we know so far about series seven - from the start time, new trailers and contestant rumours.

When does Love Island start?

CONFIRMED: ITV's Managing Director of Media and Entertainment Kevin Lygo recently announced the channel's flagship reality show would be part of 2021's spring line-up.

And the ITV dating show has now been confirmed for June 28th at 9pm.

The news was announced on This Morning on Wednesday, 16th June by the show's presenter Holly Willoughby.
