I just have a little question for all you overclockers out there

I'm currently running an i9 9900k running at 4.7ghz my temperatures idle range around 30-35 degrease (in a warmer environment) and I've never noticed it go above 75 running max settings on a game (this is also at a push).

My question is do you leave your oc on permanent, my cores run at 4.7ghz even when im not gaming. Although the idle temps are good does this severely impact life??

Psh, heat kills components. As long as you keep the temperatures down, you'll very much outlive the life of the CPU. There's always a risk attached by going outside the "manufactures recommendations" but these are limited and you'll most likely be absolutely fine.

Heat kills but sub 80 iis perfectly fine since max Thermal is 105 with built in throttling (reducing performance) and the ability to just kill the pc by turning itself off to protect from overheating. Out of the many systems i have build way before i joined here on my second account (this one)

I would leave the oc on permanently, and had no issues , this from k2 cpu chips, to modern i7, i9 and ryxzen systems. aim for 80'c max, with top end water cooling aim for 60'c.

Check voltages (intel at 1.35 max or amd at 1.4 max)
