My gaming rig is running really hot when I play normal games. It has started to get high when I got my new 3080Ti. Is 85-90C normal when under load for this setup? Ive read mixed things on the I9 running hot and what not but I don't think that high of temp is healthy for any CPU.
Intel I9 10900KF RTC 3080Ti Liquid Cooled w/ radiator fans. IBUYPOWER case. |

I would take your cooler off, clean your CPU and re apply new thermal paste. If you bought pre built they may have been chincy on the paste. |

90C is safe. Intel says the max temp is 100C: ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/a...0-ghz.html
Better cooling means better boost clocks on modern CPUs. The 10900K(F) can draw over 300w overclocked. Get a better cooler if you want more. |

I now run about 55-60 Celsius instead of 85-90. Apparently the IBuyPower water cooler has problems clogging up after about a year. |
