Hello All!

I know this is a very broad question, But i am looking for a new story driven game to play on xbox as i am currently getting tired of playing FPS Games alot. I have played Final Fantasy, and Really enjoy that style of game. I have also played a whole range of other story games like Life is Strange, Destiny (1 and 2) and Kingdom Hearts.

So i guess my question is does anyone have any suggestions for a story game new or old? (BONUS: If its co-op even better because me and a buddy are looking for new games)

Thanks! ^_^

I have heard A Way Out is really good, and somewhat fits what you're looking for - story driven, just not as much of a fantasy or sci-fi game like the ones you have played. This was made to be played in co-op!

Also It Takes Two stormed onto Game Pass the other week. Amongst the nominees for Game of the Year, this game is very highly commended and similarly made to be played with a friend!

There is also a lot of love for Guardians of the Galaxy. I have seen so many great user reviews for it; but bear in mind this is a single-player game.

All the best, Aspi!

If you enjoy FF there is a great story driven JRPG made by several members of the FF team called "Lost Odyssey."

It's from 360 era, I believe you can still purchase and download it through the store, I highly recommend it if you enjoy JRPG games. It has pretty unique battle mechanics.

Octopath Traveler is another good one, it's got 8 characters who all have intertwining stories. You can begin the game with any character and you'll start in their providence, where you can pick and choose what way to go and which characters to pick up along the way.

Single-player, I know, but The Outer Worlds?

Lots of people loved the story in this one!

Yeah, this was an outstanding game if you like FPS - RPG games. Definitely worth trying out, I believe it is on Game Pass if you're on PC or Xbox

Highly recommend Unravel and Unravel Two. The first is single player i believe, but the new one is two player. I loved the first! Never played the second. Totally different than what you may be used to. Idk tho!

I was going to recommend Kingdom Hearts but it seems you are already a fan, my favorite game of all time.
