As an artist, specifically a painter, the key way to make sales and get your work seen is by friends, family, and fans to share your work when you post it.... Not just drop a like. When you cross the line from learning to professional, friends and family vanish from supporting you. They only support you when you make money or get a good gallery gig. That is the only part of the business I hate.
What I love is the freedom to work anywhere in the world I'd like, making connections, the absolute addiction to ideas and color theory, the spiritual and health benefits to it all, the ability to sell a single painting each month that covers all living expenses and more, and overall bliss you get from not having to clock in and out or work for some muffinhead that doesn't respect your mind & body. Very very fortunate to have made it somewhere worth while in this career |

As an apprentice joiner love the summer and the work getting a good laugh with the work mates, hate the most about it is being self employed not being paid when taking time off and the winter time working out in the terrible Scottish weather lol |

I like my job and all my coworkers, but we often have to pick up the slack of the other 2 branches that don't operate as well as we do. In order to increase our output to cover their lack of output, we either have to stay late or work faster throughout the day. We get overtime bonuses but would much prefer a higher salary. |

I work in order filling (fulfillment) at Lowe's. I love my coworkers they're supportive and we all can aid each others moods. (Chris and I are the joke crackers) and get's everyone going. Most of the people are very cool that I work with.
As of things I hate - being retail, we have crackheads who try to steal stuff and rude customers for absolutely no reason. They'll always be that but I don't let it bother me and definitely leave it at the door when I leave. Sometimes the job can get stressful when it's busy but we all communicate which is key and get shit done. The pay could be better if they would make me full time, which I'm going to ask when I go back from being sick. (I get 35-38 hrs a week) but when you go full time you get a ~$2 raise. I am fortunate enough to bunk with my in-laws and wife while we save money and build a house on the land we own. We have a pretty large house and the basement where we stay is another house itself. They make pretty good money and never ask for bill money but I still buy groceries and what not just to be as respectful as possible. We have plenty of privacy and they respect us as adults. They're pretty awesome people. Glad I met someone that's cool as well as her family. |

People will always be rude and then ask for your manager or try to say something is priced differently to try and get a discount lool |
