Idk where you live, but in my town Facebook is really good for jumpstarting small business and getting friends n family to boost the reputation for your quality work. May start slow, but if you do good jobs and post you before and after people will definitely start asking for your work. Good Luck!

I'd like to start a side pressure washing business since there's not an awful lot of that around here. Older folks pay big for it lol.

I tended to notice at detailing places they charge more for bigger SUVs and trucks. One place by where i'm at only charged my fiance 50 for a full interior and exterior detail on her Honda CRV. And the place we send out cars where I work just charges 100 for whatever type of vehicle we send. That might just be because thats our go to detailer lol.

I definitely got a lot to research I've got all the equipment that I need and I could use my cousins garage he said so I'd save money on a shop at least. Just confused on pricing and if I need like a permit or something .

You shouldn't need any type of permit

Ask yourself this. How hard do you want to work? How much money do you want to make? How good of quality is your work?

What tools do you have cause I can think of things you may want to buy to make the job easier

You can make just as much money working out of your garage or back yard as you can owning a actual building or shop especially just starting out

I use to detail cars over 30 yrs ago for a used car sales made about $5 and hour. My boss use to let me use his shop and his materials free of charge when I use to do my friends cars after about a year I was able to pay my boss for all the supplies he would purchase and pt him for rent and heat bill. Was a good deal we had and he saw potential in me and I had the drive to do it

He told me the same thing I could make the same amount of money out of my own garage as I was making there since I built up customers I stopped working for him after 3 yrs and he was sending me his cars paying me anywhere from $200 to $300 a car

Detail business or valeting business? Those names get exchanged hand for hand but detailing offers a lot more services and your customers will have much higher expectations. Assuming you have the relevant experience, go for it.

Social media marketing will be really helpful. Target car enthusiast and detailing groups on Facebook.

Also if you are running a business you need insurance, although I don't know much about it. But as a customer, if you destroy my paint with incorrect machine polishing I'll be chasing you up for repairs.
