I just bought this gpu and I noticed my fans are always spinning even on idle I'm not sure why this is happening I'm pretty sure there suppose to not spin until a certain temp? |

If the fans are spinning at a constantly high rate, your GPU may a one-off, where the heatsink was mounted poorly. Or the memory chips are not sufficiently cooled. This will also ramp up the fans. Being an Asus card, I really don't suspect this is the case, but you never know.
Download HWiNFO64 and just watch your GPU fan speed vs. core and memory clock. What is the GPU Temperature, and GPU Hot Spot Temperature at idle? |

I can download it tonight at watch . But it's brand new I just put it in yesterday there shouldn't be any issues with it ..
Idle has been staying around 30-35c gaming is around 57c. At idle the fan speed is at 1000rpm |

You got any software running in the background that likes to control these things. Think of:
MSI afterburner // precision x1 etc speedfan (I honestly don't think anyone has used this since like 2003) Any inbuilt motherboard software like Asus AI Suite I've not seen any motherboard control things like Graphics card fan speeds I think but worth a check? |

Is it possible he has a very safe fan curve applied to the card that might need adjustment? Honestly not sure, just throwing it out there. I'd look at any software that might be able to control your fans. |

Not all GPUs feature fanless operation at idle. I know my 2080 Ti did, but an RTX 2060 I have always has the fans running. Either way, I wouldn't worry about it seeing the temperatures are perfectly fine both at idle and while gaming. |

I seem to have fixed it . I went to nvidia control panel and put power management on normal instead of high performance and now the fans don't kick on until about 50c. Before on idle the gpu clock was running maxed and fans were too but now idle fans aren't spinning and clock idle is about 200-500 so I guess im good .
Separate issue now my gpu has a performance mode and quit mode . I have it switched to quit but while gaming the fans run maxed rpms the whole time I can't seem to figured that one out |
