Hey, here's a short guide on inverting your stock xbox 360 ROL board to red. Firstly, I'd like to credit the founder, G0t M4xx 21, who was able to figure this out with and without trace cutting. This guide will cover the method that does NOT involve trace cutting. Very little credit can go towards me for finding alternative points to make this work a lot easier. The guide shown below is also created by me so hopefully some of y'all can put it to use since the older guides I've found use outdated images which are completely blurred and unreadable.
Note, this will require soldering, removing resistors and adding in 4 wires. I'd suggest 28-30 awg wires and/or kynar wire for this install. Also make sure that you don't route wires over holes that the mounting bolts will go through. Guide: My install & results: https://i.imgur.com/Bl0trwi.jpg I left the center LED green as it would be during RRoD https://i.imgur.com/C5zFjKU.jpg Hopefully this helps, drop a post if it did!! |

It's cool and all but why would this be needed? I'm also assuming the green side comes on when there is an error |

OPUS wrote It's cool and all but why would this be needed? I'm also assuming the green side comes on when there is an error It's not needed but pretty cool to experiment with I guess. And honestly I'm not sure, I'll try this on a RRoD console at some point and edit this post with my results. |

Just boot it with no video cable and it should rrod.
There are jrpc tools that can control the LEDs and basically do the same thing but I've been recently trying to figure out how to put it in a plugin that can be configured. I know it's possible because iKonroi mw2 menu can do it but I haven't figured it out quite yet. I did a console for someone recently with cyan for the main and purple for the debug LEDs and it was pretty cool to mess with because you can have them all light at once. It's hard to see here because these are blue and purple but the cyan and purple is cool. I don't have a pic of that one Just blue Just purple 2 blue/ 2 purple Blue and purple together |

OPUS, your assumption was correct - During an error the inverted lights will turn green |
