I don't want to take full credit for this design as I did have an inspiration to guide me through the design, I'll link it below. Been a while since I showcased anything, so here's a little one I've done today. Looks quite nice imo. Let me know what ya think..

Here's my "playing around version" I know, I'm not the best but thought it would look cool af turns out, it's not too bad!

I plan on making it my personal logo once I've fully sorted out the design, there's some minor pentool issues but other than that, looks okay ish. Maybe a rework on the cobra..

You wanted this nice

There are a few flaws, that I do see.

  • Design
    • There are plenty of possibilities of where this could've gone, i see two direct features you could've used.
      • The "C" could also be turned into another snake. Would be a bit challenging to pull off that close but it would be possible and could add to the overall image effect.
      • The inner cobras head has some typical design flaws when it comes to shaping. This is common in my experience designing these as well, always figure it out after the fact.
        • Think of the type of snake you're drawing. Cobras aren't exactly sleek when it comes to their overall head structure. They have hoods. You could add this in by just adding in a penned line. I would put an example but I need to renew my CC subscription.
      • Change the outer logo to a cobra as well.
        • The thickness of this sorta allows for the possibility. However if you slim it down some that could fix the need to not do this. However I could see this working out nicely if implemented the right way
    • The flow work is nice however. It's not too blocky nor does it look "stamped". I will bring up what could help the head below though.
  • Scope
    • What is the scope of the design? I noticed you mentioned a personal logo.
      • Do you plan on adding in text anywhere?
      • Do you plan on making a full set to spell out cobra?
        • This would be good for overall marketing design on finished products that you intend to give more direction as to who you are.
      • Do you plan on doing any 3D modeling or renders of this?
        • Was writing this before the update. Not bad. Though that's a whole other aspect to deep dive into and personally the only experience i have in modeling is architecture cloning. Not too heavy on the coloring/shading and environment side of things.

  • Flaws
    • As always this is just preference and I mentioned a couple above.
    • The outer text/logo is too thick for the current design in flat form.
    • Cobras have hoods. Add that in.
    • The bottom jaw hinge is a bit aggressive, smooth it out.
      • pen it into the neck, while doing that think of ways you could implement the hood.
    • Make the fangs more FaNgY idk what the term would be there lol
      • Sharpen the angle a little so it's not as dull.
      • Possibly lengthen them some to match the tongue.

    • Match the head to the tongue design some. Proportion wise it's a bit weird but looks good due to the scale. This is not critical but could possibly bring out some more emphasis on the design. Point above focuses on this
  • Final thoughts
    • I like the path you've been taking over the last two years. You're leaning into more professional looking standard. Alongside some of your old work already being up there. There are some minor design changes I personally would make to this, described above. To each their own in that respect. I do however like the direction this is currently headed. The mockup is not bad. Nor is the environmental version. While is is corny looking at least with the blood, it isn't bad. Good job.

That's some incredible feedback 16, I highly appreciate it big time! Originally I did intend on using it for another forum and just trying to take it up. But the more I spent looking at the designs I could personally see the flaws, like if it was moved at an angle, it looks more like an "E" than a "C" I'd love to continue on this path to see where it goes one day but for now i might just bury it in my portfolio, progress is better than nothing! I appreciate the final gesture, I've been trying to find my niche as it seems, logo designs and thread layouts are the main ones I'm currently better at than let's say esport designs/banners (things with more "flavour" if you will lol) the approach for the bloody one was just playing around though, would love to try do some photo manipulations again:)

Honestly, you're a god send! Thank you so much!
