I currently have the iPhone 13 and was thinking of an upgrade to the 14 pro max. Is that a good upgrade or should I chill with the 13 ?

Hi Bees,

I have recently upgraded from the 13 pro max to the 14 pro max, in terms of noticeable difference I would not say there is much that has changed. The notch and, from my current use I would say a slightly decreased battery life which is obviously a disadvantage however this may be due to my usage changing as I am using the device typically more frequently.

With regard to specifications, I would recommend checking the following:
Apple device compare

In my honest opinion, I wouldn't say there is much difference however if it's only a small cost to upgrade, or you are materialistic (nothing wrong with that!) then I would say go for it, if not then I would wait for the next iPhone.

I did the same thing, I went from 13 pro max to 14 pro mas. I buy the latest iPhone on release date every year full retail price because I always want the latest and greatest.. THAT SAID I can say I feel absolutely ZERO performance difference between the 2 devices The only differeces I see day to day are the dynamic island (which is pretty cool but I consider it a gimick, the features work and I do use the island but definitely would be happy without it if it wasn't there)

TL;DR - Don't bother upgrading from 13 pro to 14 pro. Unless you are planning to upgrade every year at release which makes sense because the pro max models always trade in for around $740 straight to apple, which knocks the full cash price of the latest phone around $370. That's why I buy new every year. For $370 it's a no brainer to keep the cycle going. Sometimes the carriers even give a special bonus and give you credits on your phone bill.
