Hi, I feel as though my specs are good enough for good fps in games. However, my fps is very inconsistent and is noticably bad when in game of Call of Duty MW2. My FPS never stays at one number. It varies in game from around 80 all the way to 140 /150
The generic specs of my PC: I9-9900k - 8-core 16 thread 3.6GHz (5.0GHz turbo whatever that means) Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 v2 Asus TUF Z370-Plus Gaming Mobo Corsair Vengeance RGB pro 32GB 3200MHz 500GB Samsung Evo SSD & 2TB HDD Antec Earthwatts Pro series 750w Gold Psu I run MW2 on recommended specs on youtube videos. I have literally followed all videos with recommendations on boosting fps. I do not play on high graphics settings. I have changed windows settings, disabled acceleration, changed all kinds of setting and still having issues. I watch pros and they are on around 200+ fps without it dropping below 200 at one time. I understand they have much better PC's but surely I should be getting a consistent 120+ ? Anyone got advice on how to boost it? Or is it as simple as it wont get any better with my current specs? An xbox would get better fps than me atm. Atleast it would be a consistent 120 |

COD games are notorious for inconsistent FPS as they are optimised for Console not PC.
If you're comparing WZ / MW2 MP you'll see the jump between 80-140/150. I have a 5600x with 3070 and in WZ I typically get 90-110, on MP I'm at a comfortable 130-140. |

WFAF wrote COD games are notorious for inconsistent FPS as they are optimised for Console not PC. As he said, WZ is horribly optimized for PC and you need an extremely good pc even with low specs. You could check Can I run it and see what may be lacking Another thing i do is i go into windows and i go into "Edit Power Plan" and turn on "High Performance" under the additional plans. It helps my PC a ton since its a bit on the older side and i jump from around 50/60 FPS on league to around 90-120 in normal play |

I exceed all minimum requirements but the game still runs terribly. FPS is horrible & my graphics settings are all low pretty much. I have followed every step on YouTube videos to better fps on season 2. From windows settings, Nvidia settings, in game settings etc. Nothing has helped. Is anyone else having the same issue ? |

As previously has been said Warzone is very poorly optimized at the minute.
I am running currently a 3080 / Ryzen 7 5800x with a slight overclock and I am seeing anywhere from 120-160 fps in Warzone. Best thing I can suggest to try and get your game running smoothly is to watch and follow all of the steps in this video: This guy posts seasonal update videos to ensure you're getting the best performance every time COD drop an update. Another suggestion seems to be enabling both 4G decoding and resizable bar in your BIOS. If you google how to do this for your specific motherboard it should give you step by step instructions. Best of luck and hope this helps! |
