Hi all, after much research i decided to buy a hp elitedesk 800 g2 tower wirh i7-6700, 32 gb ram and 500 gb ssd...after considering dell 9020 or 7050 i decided on the hp - a bit quicker cpu but not the heating issues of the i7-7700 and faster ram than the dell 9020...the dealmaker was the confirmation from the 3rd party seller...he assured me ps was 400 watt...i purchased it, but after eagerly opening cover, i find ps (lite-on) is labelled 280 watt instead of 400...i contact customer service rep and he says power supply comes with "PFC (power factor correction) which will be activated when pc needs more power." ...just want to confirm this guy is a liar before i give refurbisher (from amazon) a bad review...thanx |

If you've asked specifically if it comes with a 400W PSU and it didn't then you might be onto something
It sounds like they're trying to throw you off with this PFC nonsense. I'm not an electronics engineer but this is a good read if you want to see what they're on about Why we need PFC in PSU - Sliverstone |

PFC is useless unless you are worried about your electric bill which a PC is the least of your worries |
