Seems like a decent mid-range/budget build as long as GPU on par with the other parts. |

Good choices in my opinion. 13600k is the value-winner for most games. I don't think you're over spending, or selling yourself short, on any given component.
I recommend the Arctic Freezer II 240mm AIO, just because they are the most performant AIO coolers on the market. It won't make or break you system by any means, and may only be relevant if you plan on overclocking / upping power limits. Going DDR5 may be a better idea. If you were just carrying over a solid DDR4 kit into a 12th/13th gen mobo/cpu upgrade, that's a different story. I'd look into benchmarks in the games you play. Also bear in mind going DDR4 will limit your current performance (in some areas), and your upgrade path. |

Thank you, Im not in any need of DDR4. I don't really game on PC that much besides play some warzone, fortnite, Rocket League, and sports game as in madden, 2k and MLB the show. Definitely go Z790 + DDR5 if you're buying RAM anyway. If you were re-using DDR4, then sure.
PCPartPicker Part List CPU: Intel Core i5-13600KF 3.5 GHz 14-Core Processor ($259.99 @ Best Buy) CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280 A-RGB 68.9 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($124.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus PRIME Z790-P WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard ($249.99 @ Newegg) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory ($134.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Crucial P5 Plus 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($131.99 @ B&H) Case: Cooler Master MasterBox MB520 ARGB ATX Mid Tower Case ($122.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair RM750e 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($99.99 @ Amazon) Monitor: LG 32GN600-B 31.5" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz Monitor ($249.99 @ Amazon) Total: $1374.91 I'd be looking at something like that. 13600KF is $60 less than the K, I'd just save that money if you don't need the iGPU. If the price difference is smaller when you buy, then maybe just go for the 13600K. Z790, DDR5 motherboard. Go with an MSI or Gigabyte board if you want instead of Asus. There are alternatives in the same price range. I've included a nice middle ground DDR5 kit, it's not necessarily high end but it's definitely not entry level DDR5. This will provide a noticeable performance improvement over base spec DDR5, and especially over DDR4. If you want RGB, spend a little more or sacrifice a little bit of performance; pcpartpicker.com/product/xKgFf7/g...6gx2-tz5rk I included the ARCTIC AIO because it's a good 'un. If you don't like the way it looks, then buy whichever cooler you want. The Cooler Master one you originally chose will do fine, but there are technically better options. Case and PSU is fine. Your monitor choice is probably fine too, but I just provided an alternative option. Have a look at Monitors Unboxed on YouTube before you buy a monitor though. 2TB NVMe SSD's are silly good value, and the P5 Plus is faster than the 970 EVO Plus. If you want to drop to 1TB, you can, but there are still faster options than the 970 EVO Plus for a better price. |
