| So, i am a type one diabetic and i had a pretty big surgery in December of last year. I decided to not make a post on it, just because I didnt really think i wanted to write a long message about it and my feelings and what not towards it. It WAS a really dark time for me. I am only 25 years old and because of an infection that was almost fully healed up on my right toe, i actually ended up waking up one morning with a completely dead toe. It was all stemming from this infection that developed from my work boots being too small and causing my nail to fall off, and developed into an infection. I have been at my job for over a year, they decided to keep me until i came back which I was very grateful for. However, we havent been getting the same amount of business because of weather. I live in Michigan by the way Since returning, we have been on budget cuts due to this. Which i understand 1111110%. But, from 35 hours a week to between 10 to 15 hours a week that i get NOW.. Was a big hit to my income. Which i had been off of work from December 10th to right before my birthday when I returned, Febuary 10th. Which my birthday is the 11th. Lol. Since I have a lot more time on my hands now, I have decided that my toe being amputated will NOT stop me. I want to get back into filming and uploading my workouts and stuff on my youtube channel. I got up to 235 subscribers, but since i have not been active for so long, understandbaly, people have unsubscribed. And even though im super far away from the requirements to make money on youtube, it does give me enjoyment. I know, for a fact, I have helped people get into the gym, keep going to the gym, or just HELPED put a smile on peoples faces. From messages, to comments to wherever else. I have been told these things. Which honestly, I wish I had let those people know what was going on. But I only really told people on facebook (seperate from my online identity) and also my instagram. I dont know what i was thinking or hoping for by posting this here on ttg. But i DO hope that you have a wonderful night. I am going to the gym in a hour, and will be filming for my first video back to youtube, and hope i can keep on helping people. Thats why i studied at NASM to become a personal trainer in the first place. Anyways, I cant form anymore sentences because my thoughts are everywhere as they have been for months. But with being behind on bills, and being in such a dark place for so long now, the return back to the gym and hopefully youtube im hoping will be a positive place for me to at least get some of my much needed and deserved happiness back. Shit man... you lost your toe from wearing work boots that were too small?
I hope you're recovering well. I'll make sure to never wear too small shoes for more than a couple of days! Good luck going forward and with the gym/social media stuff x |

Frog wrote Shit man... you lost your toe from wearing work boots that were too small? to make a long story short .. yes kind of silly enough lol.. losing a toe nail caused me to get an infection since im a diabetic, any infection/open wound will heal SLOWWW once it was about to be all healed up (from the looks of it, on the OUTSIDE).. BOOM TOE DEAD boom, amputated |

| I heard about stuff like this one of my maintenance guys at the place I live said his father lost half his leg because he had a toe infection and he was suppose to lose his toe but by the time of the surgery they discovered it was up to his shin.. I'm glad you're spreading awareness. Wish you well my friend |

Wish you well my friend yeah.. diabetes can just sneak up and do some crazy things out of nowhere. one minute your at sleeping and the next day your rushed to the ER because your toe looks like it died lol |
