Hey everyone, I am looking for a gimbal to add to my content creation arsenal, i am looking for suggestions on exactly which kind I should get. These tings are NOT cheap, as you probably already know. I don't want to spend anything crazy, like a few hundred collars or something, just don't think i need something of that magnitude. But maybe between 100-150, possibly 200 but if I don't have to spend that much, I would really prefer to not do that. I don't make any money off what I am doing as of now, and I just got back into the gym for the first time in 8 months yesterday, and that's where I will be shooting majority of my stuff.

I was also wondering, as long as there aren't any pieces missing, or the gimbal isn't messed up in any way damage wise, would buying one used maybe locally or like on Facebook marketplace be worth looking into? I have a few tripods, but those gimbals just add more with the 360 degrees and extendable arms. They are really amazing. I would love to get one as soon as possible! Think it could really help out for better videos.

ANY ADVICE OR TIPS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED IN ADVANCE!!

If anyone was wodnering, I did end up actually grabbing one today. I am not sure how I feel about it to be all the way honest.

Here's what I grabbed - Insta360 - Flow Standard 3-axis Gimbal Stabilizer

A lot of people online just freak out about how good these things are. On reddit and youtube mainly.

To me, I feel like it was kind of overpriced. It has some decent features sure, and part of why I am not satisfied is because I clearly don't know how to use the thing at all. I got the app to work and downloaded and all setup, and pretty much have been struggling to get it to really work good. Seems to just kind of move on its own half the time, and when I do have it under control, theres so much going on, that I don't know what really to do with it. Anyways, my honest thoughts?

I will probably use it for 13 days, on the 14th day, I will probably take it back. That way, I can get used to kind of, i guess, using a gimbal, since i've never used one, but then, I can get my $170 (after tax) back, and use that money towards a different one. Maybe more, maybe less expensive, but one probably, better quality wise at least, built better, if that makes any sense.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I really dislike how you have to use their app, give pretty much ENTIRE PHONE ACCESS and on top of that can't even use the thing without it just doing whatever it wants and not working on the regular camera app (I use iPhone btw).
