Hi TTG. Normally don't post here since I've been building PCs for a while, but I have a problem that's stumped me and I can't find information for it online/don't really know exactly how to search for it.

So basically, just recently my monitor's started having an issue where they black screen then go back to normal within a second, but it repeats. Black - on - black - on - black - on, etc. Like a slow flashing of screen from off to on.

I have tried updating all drivers, GPU/MBO/Monitor, etc. I also tried swapping PCIE slots and ensuring all cables are properly plugged in.

It starts on the second monitor and after a few minutes happens to the first monitor as well, but the first monitor doesn't blink as much as the second (or nearly as fast).

I am kind of at my wits end as I've never run into this issue before and can't seem to find information online that helps. If anyone has any ideas, let me know. I am about to borrow a buddies GPU and swap it for mine to see if the issue continues. Also -- when I swapped Display Port cables on the monitors, it still happens to both. This issue just started and I doubt both of my display port cables went bad simultaneously but I guess it's possible?

IDK if gyazo links are allowed, but heres a short video showing exactly what happens: gyazo.com/e4b6bd3b3237f695260194b24a456201

Let me know your thoughts.

Nick

Bit late but still worth replying to.

That looks like power issues. It's going way to quick for a driver crash / restart. You can confirm this by going into event viewer and seeing if any events match up with the time that it goes off.

Just checked, and there is nothing. The screen blinks every 3 seconds approximately and turns back on immediately. I've ended up trying a few more things since posting and obviously the issue is persisting. Long story short, I just dropped 2K and decided to update everything except my graphics card and monitors.

Thanks for the reply, though
