not a mechanic but been driving a 2011 for a few years atp, here's the shit I wish I knew getting into it

xdelete and make sure it's not still on the run flats

water pump needs done at around 100K, do timing then too
watch for radiator leaks, OEM has plastic end tanks that eventually fail
if you ever need a VCG you'll need a valve cover too
regasket the OFHG, common oversite and like a $10 2 min job, needs new hardware

other than that it shouldn't be too bad as far as BMWs go, N52s are pretty hardy

r/E90 is one of the more helpful auto subreddits around, just watch out for the Duke of Alexandria, he's notorious around there

Ah yes we love Duke I've had a few interactions with him lol. Ill toss some pics up tonight for sure. I really appreciate the advice too honestly! Haven't had too many issues the guy sold it to me lied ab a lot but it was a 2000$ car and I was able to drive it home so I can't say I'm too upset.
