I remember being 10 or 11 and getting so excited to be older, but now that's here man I wish I could go back lol. Is it how you imagined it would be? If not feel free to explain! |

That's an interesting question.
I don't believe I ever really tried to imagine it, but adult life is surely better than I could have imagined. There's so much possibility and I really dig that. I definitely wouldn't go back. Well, unless I could go back with my contemporary knowledge as that'd be a fun cheat code. |

At times I kind of wish I did things differently but no one teaches you what you really need to know about life. Life is very short whether you live a short period of time or even a 100 yrs on this planet I am thankful for the things I have learned but kind of wish I would of had some better guidance for financial purpose. I have lived a good life and have a lot of fun doing things that I have done
Street racing was one of my favorites (no need to comment on how wrong it is) Life is what it is yet. What you make of it can be a positive or negative thing. As you get older it seems harder to get the jobs you want and now days it seems harder to be in a management position. Cause you have to watch what you say to people or they get butt hurt. Just a bunch of ****** if you ask me Yet God has a plan for all of us I have learned a lot in my days on this earth. And hope to be around for along time I know what I exactly would like to do and sometimes see my future just don't have a clue how to get to where I want to be. I have worked hard for the things I want or needed. Just kind of wish I could do more before I am to old to where I can't do the things I expect to do the things I want to be able to do while I can do them I agree with Frog. Don't really want to go back but if I could with the things I know. It would be helpful |

There's a short version which would be no, a massive no.
Longer would be: I only realised how responsible you really are for yourself much later on in life. I didn't listen to anyone and now it's too late to change much. Unfortunately, as a kid I didn't see any further than my nose. - not literally lol. Didn't put much into things, my perspective on life was a "fun first" attitude, which sounds great at the time but it's not. My biggest views on change was when I realised that, you have to pay for most fun. Not with money, but with your time having absolutely no fun. I think that's where a lot of people get depression later on. When you realise life is a void that you can fill with pleasure at the cost of EVERYTHING or live a life or boredom at the cost of nothing. Realistically, life is what you make it. Peoples opinions on your own person don't account for anything in your world. Have fun, don't think to much or sometimes you end up like the old man who when you was a kid wondered "why is he so angry or sad?" The world is yourself! |

Gonna be a simple answer and reasoning.
Grew up not in the greatest way, figured my adult ages would be better. Still isn't the greatest. But I wouldn't change a thing about it. I wouldn't have or where I'm at in life now for the stuff I've went through. Everything ive overcome and went through to make me the man I am now. It all has only made me stronger mentally and physically. Life made this road for me for a reason so again wouldn't change it for anything. |

Definitely not
It seems the older I got the worst the country and the economy has been doing. Whether its property prices skyrocketing at incredible rates while wages remained stagnant. Or how our country constantly produces a budget deficit which increases our national debt significantly just shows how crappy we've been doing. Life certainly was not perfect in the 90s or 2000s but the fact that its been 24 years since 2000 and we're in arguably a worse point despite going to war in Afghanistan and Iraq plus having a financial crisis in 2007-2009 just shows that life aint getting better. Regardless I still have a bachelors/masters, a good job with savings built up but it just shows me that despite how well you're doing there's gonna be **** ups in the upper echelons of government Truly sad, definitely did not expect this at all growing up. My family kept the kids fully engaged in politics/world news and I always felt that eventually it'll get better but nope. |
