I am in the mood for a Christmas/New Years vacation this year and cannot decide on what to do. I normally go on a cruise each year but I am wanting to explore my options? All in exclusives resorts are a +. I am wanting to visit Italy, Greece or even stay in Mexico/Hawaii. Just wanting to see others go to places.

I have not. And that has been in the back of my mind as well. I'm glad you brought that up. I might look around there to see about a place to stay.

Me and my wife are spending 5 nights in Rome, doing a river cruise on the Rhine River from Basel, Switzerland, to Amsterdam for 8 nights, and then spending 3 more nights in Amsterdam. It is a Christmas market cruise. We both love Christmas and always wanted to do it. I have been told that the cruise clientele is much older than us but that does not bother us since its just a me and her trip.

If it is just you, I would suggest just going on a relaxing trip because planning this one has been fairly stressful. I want to start planning future vacations around specific events or ideas. For example, I want to go to the Minnesota State Fair and spent some time in that area. I want to go to the Texas State fair, do a weekend getaway in Philidelphia for the purpose of just doing a cheesesteak tour haha.

Could you possibly give me links etc for for the river cruise? I'd be interested even if it's not around Christmas. It would be with my significant other where ever I end up picking to go too.

Its through a company called Avalon. There are Avalon, AMA, Tauck, and Viking cruises that go all over the world.

well, you said it! My go-to vacation is a cruise. I just think it's the best and cheapest way to travel. Plus who doesn't love the ocean?
