YouTubers promoted their own CS:GO gambling site without disclosure

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive gambling melodrama deepens with revelation of YouTubers involvement in CS:GO gambling site.

Valve has recently come under fire for running an “illegal online gambling market,” with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and the controversy continues with Trevor “TmarTn” Martin and Tom “ProSyndicate” Cassell promoting CS:GO skin gambling site CSGOlotto without disclosing the fact that they own it.

The discovery was made by YouTuber HonorTheCall, who found out that Martin is the director of the site, while Cassell is the vice president.

The pair are claiming that their involvement has never been hidden from their audience, but h3h3 Productions’ research team found no mention in either YouTuber’s videos – or the accompanying descriptions – that they were owners of the site.

Martin has insisted that he wasn’t affiliated with the site when he initially began promoting it, but the company charter shown in the video above makes it quite clear that he’s telling porkies.

Another issue is that there are no age restrictions on what is essentially a gambling site.

Failing to disclose their involvement with the company is in violation of YouTube’s guidelines, and despite retroactively amending their video descriptions to state their interest, we’ve yet to see whether or not YouTube are going to act on this.

Take a look at the video for a more detailed description of how it all went down.

Karma is a bitch and they'll learn that

They'll learn from their mistakes but that's not the point. They should've done what they've done. It's wrong for them to do and for the viewers that watch their content day in day out.

Heres a video of him logged into "csgolottobot5" proving that he rigged bets.

Rebo tmartn made a video saying he owned the site and the site has been in the description of his videos since i can remember but now has to take them all down due to unneeded hate when he hasnt done anything wrong

He said he "found" the site, not "founded" the site.

Also yeah, he did nothing wrong, http://www.pcinvasion.com/csgolotto-cover-definitely-illegal-says-video-game-attorney

this whole "gambling" thing is nuts. i for one think that its great if i unlock a camo skin that is so rare in the game (and you cant pay the company with microtransactions to get it directly) that people are dumb enough to pay upwards of $500 to have it, then so be it. at least the money goes into my wallet and not the companies. CoD makes you pay for almost every peice of extra in the game and no way of earning in game and they pocket the cash and run. Like i said, this is nuts. You earn it, then hell, why not sell it i if you arnt going to use it. I mean how many camos can you wear at 1 time? Share the love. I am speaking on behalf of the actual CS:GO servers, not these guys' website.

1989 I honestly don't see why people see this as a bad thing.

Because it's illegal? They get paid for promoting their own site, rig the bets to win, even if they lose they can just take the skins back because they own the site.

Why are people siding with the scumbags?
