Halo 5 Has Highest Monthly Active Players in Series Since Halo 3

Posting in a reddit thread about Halo 5‘s position on the most played list on the Xbox One, Halo community manager Andy Dudynsky (bravo343) stated that,

'Halo 5 has had the highest monthly active players for a Halo title since Halo 3.'

This is the first time we have heard of this, and while Dudynsky stated he can’t give specific numbers without approval, Halo 5: Guardians has seen an increase month over month as well

'Also exciting (and not yet discussed, either) is the increase that H5 has seen in players each month over the past few months (we just got done looking at June numbers, which are once again higher than the previous month). As you can imagine this is pretty darn exciting to see, and this thread seemed like an appropriate place to share this news for the first time '

Halo 3 shaped my online gaming experience and Nothing well compare to Xbox Live's community during Halo 3.
Back when you could get a whole fully match of custom games, and play fat kid, and all types of fun game all night.

halo 5 is my number 1 game, i was always a call of duty player but this not mine anymore since advance warfare

It has been a very long time since the Halo series was even close to call of duty in players, would be nice to see that competitiveness come back into play.

I have always loved Halo. Overtime I watched what seemed people not care as much about Halo due to call of duty so this is exciting for me.

I didn't think it could outmatch Reach, Halo: Reach was pretty active for quite a while, sitting at 100k most of the time..

Halo 5 was awful. I miss playing Halo 3 back when it came out. I still play it sometimes since I own the Halo Master Chief Edition.
