Niantic CEO Outlines New Plans For Pokemon Go

May all your Pokemon dreams come true. In addition to being to bump into speeding vehicle while collecting Pokemon out in the wild, it looks like a future update of Pokemon Go will allow you to trade Pokemon with other players.

Niantic’s had its hands full with the phenomenal launch response to Pokemon Go, but the developer appears to already be teasing what’s in store for the game. Niantic CEO John Hanke described player-to-player Pokemon training as being “kind of a core element.” (thanks, Business Insider).

Hanke said that the Pokestops and Gyms around the world are in their “most basic versions,” as they are right now, hinting at substantial additions in terms of customization. Hanke also said that the game’s core AR feature–what projects Pokemon onto the real world via your phone camera, will be taken forward as well.

I'm sure they'll have the feature later. Surprised it wasn't in release though, as that it pretty much what real Pokemon is about.

At least their working on it. Hopefully they fix their servers!!

They need to protect their servers better, you got that right lmao

Potion My town is currently going through Pokemon fever. Everyone in my town is playing it, its an ongoing turf war between the three teams. I play it as well and went to the park today for the PokeStop and Gym, there had to be about 20 other people.

Same here man, (normal people) don't want around town holding a 12+ game. Haha I feel you on this one! I don't know how people like a phone app to be fair.
