Infinite Warfare developers want it to become a sub-franchise

Infinity Ward, the developers behind the upcoming Call of Duty title Infinite Warfare, or better yet known for the huge success of the Modern Warfare series are looking to redeem themselves this year after the fail of Call of Duty Ghosts.

Infinity Ward’s Taylor Kurosaki spoke with Polygon with hopes that Infinite Warfare could be "the start of something new- an established sub franchise within the Call of Duty brand, not unlike Treyarch’s Black Ops 3."

"We want to establish our own new subfranchise. Our own new branch of the Call of Duty tree. What we are developing here could certainly support multiple games. We’re trying to develop a very rich world that we’re not even close to exhausting," Kurosaki said.

cransom513 RIP to COD . The sad truth is it ain't made for us anymore it's geared towards children . When WaW came out we were all 12-20 most of us are now 18-30 and it just won't be the same game anymore . Look at all the silly ass melee weapons in BO3 . GTFOH

Got to agree, the zombies trailer clearly shows it is made for the kids. Shoudn't be 18+ anymore

Reading some of these news i still dont get it. Yeah its in space, people are judging it way to much considering they havent had any hands on experience

They should've had a sub-franchise for futuristic games to separate them from the older Call of Duty games.

I want this game to do well, just because they made the wrong decision of the story doesnt meant that call of duty isnt one of the best game franchises out there. Lots of hate being given to this game even before release. Will give it a chance and hope others do too.

Call of Duty had its time, and its passed, the game's community was perfect at the time Modern Warfare 2 came out. The game cannot be made great again, its evolved too much and they expect too much out of each release. Its time for another franchise to come around and be great again. Sorry Infinity Ward, but your time is over..

Eli I probably won't even play this game. But I am looking forward to the cod 4 remastered.


Yeah this is exactly the same for me, The remaster is going to be awesome.
