The Battlefield 1 open beta is now available for everyone to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The open beta's download size is 6.1 GB on all three platforms.
The beta on PlayStation does not require an active PlayStation Plus subscription, but on Xbox One you will need Xbox Live Gold in order to play. It is not yet clear on when the beta will end.
There are two game modes available in the beta, which are Conquest and Rush.
Conquest. An all-time fan favorite of Battlefield players, Conquest is a large-scale game mode with up to 64 players fighting for the control of key objectives. With large armies on foot or behind the wheel and the addition of fearsome Behemoths, Conquest brings together all the elements of the signature Battlefield All-Out War.
Rush. A 24-player mode where the Attacking force must find and destroy the Defending force's Telegraph Posts, which can be used to call in artillery strikes. The Defenders can deny the Attackers their mission by disarming explosives they plant on the telegraph positions. Should the Telegraph Posts be destroyed, the Defenders must fall back to the next sector and protect the Telegraph Posts there.
Battlefield 1 releases October 21st on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Been playing since Early Access started, and I have to say it has its share of bugs but it is definitely on its way to being the true game of the year.
This game is awesome. Played it all day yesterday with no issues really. Though I can imagine the servers are worked up with everyone trying to play it.
