Ever since Mass Effect: Andromeda developer BioWare showed off a demo for the game at the PS4 Pro console reveal, it quickly became one of the many in-development titles associated with HDR.
But HDR is not just available on PS4 Pro. In fact, it’s available on the standard PS4, as well as the Xbox One S. Unfortunately, many games neglect to release HDR support to all platforms, but Mass Effect: Andromeda is thankfully not one of them.
Studio manager Aaryn Flynn confirmed on Twitter earlier that the game will indeed be HDR-compatible on all platforms that support it, including PC. This is big news for PC players, who are often left behind when HDR support is implemented in games.

HDR is of course a technology that allows for a lot more lighting and colour variance to appear on screen, and needs to be supported by your monitor/TV. As for which HDR standard the game will support, Flynn couldn’t say.
@OG_CR41GUK Yes. Not sure which version though

HDR10 is the more likely option here, however, as it’s more widely adopted by TV manufacturers, though time will tell.
This is just one part of Flynn’s tweets recently, many of which answered some long-lingering fan questions such as the resolution and frame-rate on consoles, and whether or not the game is getting a season pass
Mass Effect: Andromeda is due for release March 21 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
