Xbox One Has Over 1000 Games In Development

While a few people may be concerned with the fact that, at least on the face of it, the Xbox One doesn’t have a lot of exclusive content coming its way in the foreseeable future, it seems like there are still plenty of games coming out for it soon.

Chris Charla, who is the head of Microsoft’s indie games program ID@Xbox, says that there are more than a thousand games that are currently in development for the Xbox One, from developers under the program, and that some of these are going to be shown off at GDC this year.

This is pretty good news for Xbox One owners (and prospective owners), especially considering the fact that indies have always been some of the best games in the Xbox lineup over the years, even during the 360 days.

The Game Developers Conference begins tomorrow, so there will be a lot of great new news to bring to you in the next few days. Stay tuned for more updates.

ID@Xbox games aren't an excuse in my opinion. They are arcade games and made by small time developers in most cases. I will most likely not be buying one lol.

GR33NV3N0M before people start bashing just remember that technically CD projekt Red the people behind the development of the Witcher franchise is technically an indie developer and look at Witcher 3!

Lets not also forget that the mods we use for games like fallout and skyrim come from "indie" developers that more often than not include better contect or game fixes than the official devs as they do this out of passion more than anything.

Yeah maybe at some point they were considered indie but now they are one of the biggest companies in Poland. I'd say they deserve the title of a top developer by now.

But they are all made by different developers, so what effect does the amount of people making games have on each game developer's quality?
